Is that a printer?....
One of the great things about camera phones is that you can take pictures almost anywhere you go. But to share them with others you usually have to pass around your phone. Or they end up trapped with all those other digital pictures on your computer – or someone else’s machine after you email them – and never leave the land of pixels to become a print.
But with Dell’s Wasabi PZ130 pocket-size printer you can quickly give your photo subjects and friends something more tangible in the form of a physical picture.
The 7-ounce Wasabi measures just 4.8 x 2.8 x 0.9 inches and produces 2-x-3-inch borderless color prints in under a minute. It uses an inkless printing process called Zink, and Dell offers photo paper in either a 24 pack for $12 or a 48 pack for $20. Plus, the paper comes with a sticky backing so that the photos can be used as stickers for things like scrapbooking and tagging bags and belongings.
The Wasabi printer works with Bluetooth phones so that you can wirelessly print pictures, and it also has a PictBridge connector for printing directly from compatible digital cameras. Dell claims that the printer is easy and intuitive to use, with simple buttons and indicators. And for a limited time, Dell is also making it easier to buy with a price of $99; it regularly sells for $149.
